The Humane Society got a report of a dog tied up in a back yard and the caller wasn’t sure she was alive.  She was found laying in a freezing puddle of water in the middle of winter.  She was cold, starving and had no shelter to protect her from the elements.  All of her teeth are filled down due to chewing on her chain.  Sophie was confiscated and needed a second chance at life.  My boyfriend and I decided to step in and temporarily give her what she needed.  We gave her a cozy bed, lots of food, lots of love and taught her all her manners.  Despite everything she has been through, she LOVES people and wants to SNUGGLE all the time.   Sophie is now on her way to be with the Wisconsin Rottweiler Rescue where she will continue to get the best care and wait for her forever home – wait for the life she deserves.

Olaf’s family was too busy to put in the time it takes to raise a Great Dane puppy.  They surrendered him to give him the chance to find a home where they understand the needs of a giant breed puppy.
Olaf is every bit a puppy.  A 130 pound puppy.  He loves to play.  He loves to play.  He loves to play.  He also loves to chew on bones and really really loves Kongs filled with peanut butter.  He is a very good boy and knows basic commands like sit, down, stay and crate.  Did I mention that he loves to play?

She can be very playful in the mornings and very lazy in the evenings.  She gets along with cats as well.  She can get along with dogs but needs very slow introductions and supervision.  She also needs a doggy friend that likes to wrestle and play rough!

She is getting used to living in a family, but is still a bit shy around noises and other things she does not know. She loves everyone and gets along so well with all the other dogs. She came in to rescue because she was owned by a breeder who decided to retire and surrendered the remainder of her dogs to rescue. Unlike many breeder dogs we have seen in the past, Sareena is social and enjoys spending time with people. Trixie is an English Bull Terrier – Approx 11 months old – Spayed female
She was found as a stray in KC with her eyes swollen shut from mange and entropion.  5 months later she is now mange free, spayed, and her eyes have been fixed.  She’s a goof ball as Bullies usually are.  High energy, sweet, cuddly, LOVES HER BALL, very smart, demanding in a cute way…..Not good with other dogs or cats.  Kids are fine.  Trixie’s facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/TrixieTheBullTerrier.  She’s available through Hands, Hearts, and Paws.
